A soft howl came back as the only reply. But no more seemed to come from the snow white wolf.

Satika looked quizzically at Shikon, then at Ganto. Was the scent on this wolf, or behind him? "Hi!" she said cheerfully, "I'm Satika. What's your name?

Shikon walked over near the pup, but he kept his distance. He didn't know why, but the scent he was searching for was all over this wolf.....

ooc: So, what should we say, that Ganto (the wolf) ignored Satika and Shikon?

ooc: I guess. or they couldn't find him again. bic: Shikon heard a noise, and looked towards a falling branch. The owl hooted as it soared away. When he turned back around, the pup was gone....and he was surrounded in a thick mist. He couldn't see, and the wet air made it impossible to smell.

Satika followed Shikon into the fog, but she could barely see a foot in front of her. She inhaled a cloud of the stuff when she spoke - "Shikon? Where are you?"

Shikon twitched his ears. He could have soworn he had just heard Satika's bark.... "Satika?" He called out. They had seperated in the fog, now they were both lost in this forest. Shikon tried to sniff out his packmate once more, but his nose filled with the wet mist. He sneezed from it before walking onward to who knows where...

Satika didn't hear Shikon, but she called again, louder. "Shikon!" she yelped, more frantically, and stumbled around, bumping into a tree. This just scared her more. Satika threw back her head and howled.

Shikon heard that. He immediately halted, his ears erected trying to locate the source of the sound. This mist was so strange, it was throwing Satikas voice. He sighed as he then continued to walk. The fog was too thick. He had best find shelter until it cleared up....

Satika whimpered, wishing Shikon would make a noise, and tried to walk backwards out of the mist.

Shikon laid in a damp cave. He decided to wait this fog out. Hopefully Satika would do the same. He sighed deeply, resting his head on his paws. This forest....he kept reminding himself. This forest was just another obstacle on the road to paradise.

Satika couldn't find her way out, so she lay down on the ground and rested her head in her paws, waiting for the mist to thin.

Shikon awoke late the next day. He was angry at himjself for sleeping in like that....parhaps it was the fog. As he exited the cave, he saw an owl swoop by. Stupid owls.... The fog was still pretty thick, but at least he could see his paws.

Satika had also drifted off, and awoke with a huge yawn. As she opened her eyes, she remembered where she was. Her fur was damp from the mist still hanging around. She stretched and stood, wondering where exactly Shikon had got to.
