I like the 'Hey X' thingy XDD You don't necessarily have to remove it. Instead shift it to either above the banner, below the banner or below the menu buttons. It gives it a sort of "bar like" look but its not actually a bar. The benifits have having it shifted will allow the forum to size properly and center the banner and text as well as compliment the menu icons.

I like it being the first thing I see. It tells me everything without even having to look down. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'allowing the forum to size properly'; I'm not real experienced with Proboards. Would this center the banner? And does this include the time and everything with it? I love having the time right there - even though I forgot to change the time for daylight savings 0_o *scurries off*

As I said before Wolfy, I've seen and used the way your talking about, and I personally find it easier to leave it default. I also like the wider board better then the centered board.

I love having the time right there - even though I forgot to change the time for daylight savings 0_o *scurries off* Moving it down, it will still be the first thing you see, it'll only be directly under the banner. Of course it includes everything that's already there(time, date, etc.), you're not changing it, just moving it. It would allow the forum to set to its original default size which is normally a little bit smaller than this because the Hey... stretches it due to a long banner. I also like the wider board better then the centered board. Moving it doesn't change the board layout, it just allows the banner at the top to center, the forum will remain with the same layout. Tell you what, since you all seem so against my suggestions, I'll create you guys a skin on my beta forum and show you what I can do. I'll be using the images you currently have though(banner & menu icons).

That's what I'm saying though, I like it stretched. The role play site has it set up like your talking about, and I think it's too squished imo. I'll look at your version, but I think I'll like the current one better.

I'm not against it... I'm open to change, and while I don't like a stretched board, I truly could care less.. A board is a board, and as long as I don't have to scroll left or right to see the whole thing, I'm fine.

I've currently been away but the skin's preview is almost complete.
In the meanwhile, here is a fantastic layout that belongs to another wolf/canine rp forum that I think deserves a look: -link deleted- Its perfect in every aspect of neatness, very beautiful and would be worth imitating.
Another skin is one that was made by someone for other people to use which is themed on wolves. How its made there is available for people to take and use on their forums: -link deleted- Of course with this one, you can add your own banner.
I know that those are completely different to what you have but try and be open-minded to consider them. Hope to show you the skin I'm making soon.

Hmm... those are pretty nice ^^ But does that really have so much to do with the size?

sorry, but I don't like the idea of imitateing. We're gonna make a new default skin, 100% belonging to PiR only. And we're open minded. As said before, I've used the smaller site style before. It's a matter of preference. I and most other members on this site prefer the longer thread style.

Really. The size of the board is personal preference. And it really doesn't matter/effect the content of the posts..

ultimateskin.proboards102.comCheck out the skin there, its set as default. Thats not an official forum by the way, its my beta forum where I test out stuff so I have a few things to note before you go look:
+--Ignore the affiliate table down the bottom!! +--Ignore the little scrawny image under the welcome table(the one that when clicked on says Welcome Guest and stuff)!! +--As you can see in the menu buttons, there are two kinds. Please comment on which one you like best. Thing to note: if all the images where the same style as the "Home" button then the actual bar with all the buttons would be smaller. +--The "Hey X, you have..." stuff can be moved above all the menu buttons o stay under as it is now. p.s. You may be wondering "Well, why didn't this person just remove that image thingy and the affiliate table that we're supposed to ignore?" Well, I'm using a code that displays different coding for different skins and it would be greatly inconvenient for me to have to shift all those codes along since this skin is only going to be temporary.
I've made a board on that forum that's guest friendly so you can post comments with ease.

I don't like it honestly. Looks off. I think we should leave the site as is until we get our new default skin finished. But I'll leave it to the members. majority rule.
