Emily griped onto the vine her fangs dug deep in as she pulled. Emily was stronger then she looked. she moved and pulled and the wolf in the mud was being pulled out, little by little "almost there!" she growled.

Saro joined in after she managed to catch up. Being her usual clutsy self, she had tripped. She clutched onto the vine, letting her fangs sink in. Saro yanked as hard as she could, hoping that the wolf's ,whose name was apparently Shikon, friend was going to be Ok.

Shikon continued to pull, and could feel himself gaining more ground. He heard a plop as he used a burst of strength to get Satika out of the mud.

Satika was tugged out of the mud with a loud sucking noise, and landed sopping wet on the slightly more solid ground. Her chest heaved as she regained her breath, and she gasped, "Thanks so much... Shikon... all of you. Who are you? I'm Satika."

Emily fell backward "ow!" she sighed "I'm Emily" she said and stood up the vine was just about to snap to before they pulled Satika out "wow close call!" Emily said trying to lighten up the mood.

Shikon spit out the vine, and spit. The disgusting plant taste now filled his mouth. Part of him was annoyed, but another part was relieved to see Satika. he didn't understand these feelings...after years alone, he shouldn't care about another wolf....

Satika tried to smile at Emily, but it was hard to keep that expression on her face while she was trying to take deep breaths through her mouth. "Thank you so much Emily," she panted.

Emily looked at Satika with a shocked look "don't thank me" she said wiping her mouth the vine taste was to in her mouth. "thank Shikon if he didn't howl i wouldn't have came" Emily looked at all the wolves they were ether damp, muddy, or there fur was mangled and tangled hers was a combination of all three. Then she asked "how long have we been here?" and sighed "and dose anyone have food?"

"Well, you helped, anyways," said Satika, trying to stand up. Her legs were caked with quicksand which had dried into a kind of mud. It was very heavy and sticky, so Satika tried to wash it off.

"yea I guess" Emily said looking up at the sky that the stars filled she closed her eyes she was thinking that she had been here for three days. The damp air was warm and humid so she shook off the extra water on her fur.

"About the food..." Satika swallowed. "Good question. Shikon, have you seen any animals here?"

"No" Shikon answered gruffly. "Nothing but swamplands and an owl" He grumbled. He shook off mud and swamp water as well, and let his fur slowly lower onto his back. He stuck his nose into the air and sniffed. The place reiked with the noxious scent of gas and decaying plantlife.

Emily turned her head so much has happened in three days she had met new wolves but still her stomach growled "I'm starved" she said. Emily started pawing at the ground then closed her eyes and sighed.

"Me too," Satika sighed. "Does this fog plan on letting up any time soon?"

Shikon rolled his eyes. "A strong wolf can go for weeks without food" He grumbled. He began to walk away. Once again he had picked up the scent...the scent of paradise.
