"Shh" Yuutai hissed. Her wolf ear perked, and she lashed out with her right dagger. Just in time. An arrow fell to the rocky ground, split in two. Yuutai glared in the direction the shot had come from. "Show yourselves" She growled. A figure was in the distance...but he was not alone....

"Shh?! Why are you always telling me what-" He quickly shut up as the sight of the split arrow made him yip quickly turning to whatever direction it came from. His eyes scanning for anything, his heart pumping rapidly.
"Yuutai? Who is it? Are we in trouble? Are we going to die?!"

"Oh calm down puppy dog" Yuutai barked warningly to the 'pet' behind her. The man that sot the arrow came out into the opening, his bow at the ready. "You were lucky once outsider...but my arrow will not miss again" he said. He was a native to the area... an Indian of the canyon.

"You will regret it if you shoot them, human." A small, dark-haired girl clambered over the edge of a heap of rocks and slid to the ground. Pulling herself painfully to her feet, she walked over to stand protectively in front of them. "We are not animals to be shot at for prey. Should you shoot, death will come to you swiftly." Her eyes narrowed, as she surveyed the Indian with the commanding air that seemed out of place in a wolf so small.

The young she-wolf growled, her fur rising. "I am no child," she hissed, her dark eyes blazing furiously. "You would do well to remember that, human." Her sharply pointed ears swiveled at the young boy's shout, and she leapt away toward the rocks. "I will know if you harm them," she growled, and leapt lightly over the rocks out of sight.
