"Come on mutt! Wake up!" demanded a rough voice. Multicolored eyes slowly began to open, still a bit droopy from not getting enough sleep. Ai stood up in her cage for the first time since she had been drugged, and wasn't all too happy. Most of the drugs had worn off, but she was still a bit dizzy, and to top it off, she had no idea where in god's name she was. "Come on now! Don't be so lazy and get going!" the voice demanded again as her cage door opened. Stepping out and onto the hard, cold ground, a chain collar was placed around her neck, weighing her down just a bit. A thick leather muzzle was then slipped around her jaws, preventing her from pulling any stunts. The man led the black wolf out into a rather large pit in the ground, surrounded on all sides by excited humans, betting most of their money on the strongest looking dog... or wolf... Once she was safely inside, the man took off her muzzle, and vanished behind a metal door that closed tightly behind him. The only other thing in the pit with her was a rather large dog, growling at her. God what have I gotten myself into now!? she thought to herself, still clueless as to what exactly was going on.

Daryl was now walking through the streets. He had gone in the opposite direction to the others for some reason, and now he knew why his brain had told him to. Don't get stuck in relationships again Daryl, that's what happened back in the forests, and look what happened there. Your own family couldn't support you, you had to go off alone, and that's how you survive best. Alone. Now he was outside the building where the dog fights were held. He had no idea Ai was here, until he saw a cage being taken inside, and his insides lurched at the sight of Ai inside it. This isn't your problem, leave. What do you care if they get themselves into trouble. Then he spoke up, quietly enough that only he could here. "Oh, shut up." A tall boy walked into the building, and approcahed the ring, watching patiently.

Ai heard a loud buzzer go off, and before she knew it, the large dog that she was forced to fight jumped on her, and pinned her to the ground. It all happened so quickly, she had the wind knocked out of her. The black dog tried to sink his fangs into Ai's shoulder, but the black wolf had already wiggled out from under him before he got the chance. "Come on ya mutt! If you win I wont hurt ya... much..." the man said, referring to Ai and not the dog in the pit with her. Still a little confused, Ai lunged at the dog, bitting down hard on his neck. To her surprise, it was pretty easy to kill the dog. One hard bite and he was a done. Probably because wolves have much longer fangs, and it was easier to split open his wind pipe, and main vein in his neck. The majority of the men in the crowd cheered, having bet their money on the wolf.

Daryl scowled. Sick. Sure, Ai had killed the dog, but she had to, or she would have been killed. He slipped his hand into his pocket, his fingers closing on the familiar metal shape. He wasn't quite sure why he had a gun even while performing an illusion, but he did, so that was that. He pulled back among the cheering crowd. Two men were bickering. Apparently one of them had sussed that it wasn't a regular dog. The other was yelling back at him that he was a sore loser. Daryl fired down, and suddenly there was silence. Then, a roar broke out, as people panicked, and a few turned to hitting each other in a pointless brawl. The boy walked swiftly through the rioting crowd until he reached a small doorway leading to the area where the breeders kept the dogs that weren't fighting. Loading another clip into his pistol, he leant against the wall, waiting patiently.

A girl suddenly stood up on the dead dog's cage, shooting yet another gun into the air. "Everyone settle down. There ain't no police so relax. The winner is The 'Wolf'" she called, useing what the crowd had nicknamed Ai. Of course, wolves were extinct, so it was strictly just a nickname.
As she stepped down, the men around her let out soft whistles. This chick was a good looking gal. "Alright Jack, get your old carcass outta the ring" She told the losing man. "And you. Tie up your dog. The next match won't start till the cage is clean" She said. Her voice was forceful...obviously she had power in this place.

Sorrou raised her snout in the air, sniffing for Ai or Daryl's scent. They were very weak, as if they were indoors, and they were both together. But a smell stronger than theirs was blood... and it too came from the same area. She followed it.

Daryl was breathing hard. He could hear the woman's voice outside, and he could here them bringing back the "dog". One man, whistling joyously, walked in, ahead of the other two who were holding Ai's cage. Daryl pressed himself hard against the wall, hiding as best he could. Then, the man turned and yelled as he saw the armed boy in front of him. There was a commotion, men were now coming down from the stands, as the man yelled, "It's another wolf!" Of course, only he could see that, but they were eager to get rid of the intruder, whether he was human or wolf. The man who had first found Daryl fell silently as the boy's fist smashed into his face. Firing upwards with the gun, Daryl took advantage of their momentary panic to fire two more shots, this time into the group of men. Two fell dead, the others surging forward at him. He kicked out, and another clutched his stomach before attacking again. Daryl was beginning to worry. He was at too close range to properly use the gun, and after all, he was just a boy, if he went back to being a wolf, they would attack even harder. Now see what you got yourself into? You should'a just walked on by, idiot. Came form his mind, and he said to himself, "So not the right time for this." A hefty fist smacked across his face and he sank against the wall, dropping the gun. A small trickle of blood fell down his chest from a knife blow. With a grunt, he dispelled the illusion. There was a mixture of shock, fright, confusion and mirth from the crowd over him. The black wolf lay there, his coat smeared with blood, eyes looking weakly up at them, full of hatrid. A few men kicked him, in the ribs, and he fell into an unconscious sleep.

The woman walked in to see what all the commontion was about. "Another dog got loose? You incompetent....no mater. Just dump it in the garbage." She ordered. A well built young man stood beside her.....probably her bodyguard. He walked over to the wolf, seeing as how everyone else was afraid, and threw it onto his shoulder. Then he walked outside. The woman smirked before turning around and heading back to the fights.

Daryl was still half conscious, but he heard a few snatches of the conversation, then felt himself being lifted up and carried. He closed his eyes. It couldn't end like this, it couldn't. His head drooped and his eyes closed even further. One of the men cheered, thinking he was dead. Then, a low snarl came from the brute's mouth. His jaws snapped and found their target, clamping on the bodyguards mouth, then taking his chance to drop off his shoulders and run over to the doorway, facing the crowds. The illusion came forth once more, and the young man raised his pistol, the cold steel barrel pointing straight at the woman who he now knew was the leader.

Reaching the arena, Sorrou peered inside. She used the illusion to appear human, then snuck into the building. The place was pretty much empty, but there were two dead men on the floor. She walked up to the corpses and saw that they each had a bullet wound. "Daryl?" Sorrou wondered aloud.

The bodyguard cursed before leaping into the way of Daryl and the woman. He had an aggresive look on his face as he tried to stare down the 'boy'. He wasn't fased in the least by his odd 'transformations'.....of course....Daryl should see past the bodyguards OWN illusion. He was a wolf as well. ooc: Bet ya didn't see THAT commin X3

Ai heard gun shots, yells, and cheers. What the heck is going on!? she thought to herself, not really understanding the situation she was in right then and there. Looking around from behind the thin metal bars of her cage, she was shocked to see Daryl attacking a young, only to have a bodyguard stop between the two. Only this bodyguard wasn't human. He was a wolf. Great... she thought to herself, before thinking up some escape plans, only to have then ruined when her so called 'master' take her out of her cage, and attach a long, thick, metal chain to her chain collar. "Go on mutt! Take down that cursed creature!" he commanded, speaking of Daryl. The black wolf lunged forward, jaws open, but instead of them clamping down, they locked onto the bodyguard's shoulder. Before she could taste the iron tang of blood in her mouth, Ai felt a hard force tug her backwards, and then kick her across the room. "BRAIN DEAD FLEA BAG!" the man shouted, kicking her again. "Kill the wolf, not the bodyguard!" Ai stood up, shaking her head a little to clear away her now growing headache, and began to run at the bodyguard again, but was once again stopped. This time by a rather tall man, who picked her up with one of his large hands, and tossed her into her cage again, along with the chain that was still connected to her neck. "Keep yer mutt under control! She'll kill the bodyguard before he gets the chance to do his job!" he yelled to the man who 'owned' Ai, before looking back at the ongoing battle.

Sorrou, still pretending to be human, walked up behind the tall man that had thrown Ai to the ground. She tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey! Leave her alone," she growled.
