"Hey! Put her down!" yelped Sorrou, chasing after the man. She expected just about the same reaction as from the first one. "Don't worry," she said to Ai, bending down, "once they let you out to fight we'll get away."

"Ya wanna die girl!?" the man yelled, turning around and pointing a gun at Sorrou. "And leave my mutt alone! I don't want Wolf all messed up from some girl that wont mind her own business!" the man added, obviously having named Ai Wolf. Walking out into the area, the man opened Ai's cage as another large dog came out of the other side. As soon as the man left the area, the dog charged at Ai, only to slam into the wall behind her as the black wolf moved easily out of the way. Dogs are so slow... she thought to herself, as she lunged at the dog, bitting down hard on his shoulder. The dog quickly flipped her off and backed up, preparing to attack again. Ai had a feeling this was going to be a long battle...

Kosei stood, like an idle spectator, on the sidelines. He watched the battle with a face of disinterest. As a human, he was there to guard afterall, not to enjoy the fights.

The two canines lunged at each other, tearing at any flesh they could get their fangs on. When the first puddle of blood was spilled, Ai was shocked to see that it was her. This dog's fangs were curved, probably sharpened that way. It just made it easier for the dog to latch onto flesh and rip it with ease. Not good... He had ripped a rather large piece of muscle off of her shoulder, and was no aiming for her neck. Ai quickly pushed him off, trying to get away so she could think of a counter attack, but lost her train of thought when the brute once again tackled her and began to trash out with everything he had. A few men in the crowd began to yell, having bet their money on the wolf in hopes of her winning as easily as last time. But obviously the wolf was tired from fighting, and was now being beat to a bloody pulp. Right when the dog was getting ready to finish Ai off, her new 'owner' stepped in, stopping the fight. "Wolf has had enough for today. She's probably tired from her previous battle! Let her rest for a while and then the battle will continue!" he shouted, as the dog's owner took him away. Happy that she was no longer in danger, Ai limped out of the pit and into her cage, happy that it could protect her from the dangers of the fighting arena, but for how long?

After a few more fights, the woman eventually ended the fights. She smiled as she counted her money. "Kosei, take care of the mongrels in the back" She ordered. "I'm gonna go home early tonigh'" she said with a smile. Kosei nodded before makeing his way to the back room. This was were many of the dogs were kept. He had been dumping the bodies, and cleaning the wounds of the winners like this for awhile now.... after he dumped the last body outside, he 'accidently' left the door open. It was midnight...

A black figure walked through the dimly lit streets, coming to a stop by the dumpster. He could see Kosei going in and out, and smiled as he noticed the shut door. He lay down in the shadows, keeping out of sight until the others were out.

Kosei walked around the deathly quiet room of fighters. The reason people trusted him alone with the wild beasts was because they acted so much calmer around him...and for a good reason. All of the dogs saw the wolf he really was.... Kosei stopped walking infront of Ai's cage. Yes, she looked like the one...poor wolf. And damn that new owner....he could only address the dog's wounds f the owner left the key....which Ai's 'owner' did not.

Ai slowly opened her eyes as a new scent drifted past her nose. Looking up, she saw a rather large wolf towering over her, who seemed slightly familiar. That's when she remembered. The body guard. Her normal reaction would of been a angry snarl, but for some reason she kept it all in. He didn't seem to dangerous right now, but more along the lines of trying to help. Sitting up, she winced as most of her wounds reopened. Clenching her teeth to hold back crying out, she looked up at Kosei with a slightly puzzled expression. "Why are you here?" she asked, not wanting to make too much noise and wake up the rest of the dogs around them. They would only start barking and maybe wake up one of the other men that worked there.

"Hey, you!" shouted Ai at Kosei, trying to sound tough. "Whadda you doing?" she strode up to Kosei and Ai, in her cage, and folded her arms across her chest.

"keep it down pup" Kosei said to Ai. "This is your friend right?" he asked, though he didn't wait for an answer. He bared his teeth, and quickly chomped down on the bars. Although Ai may not have been able to break these steel irons, Kosei was a much stronger breed. His teeth crushed the metal, and easily bent it sideways, to form a gapeing hole. "Be quick" He whispered to her. He looked at Ai, then walked away.

Sorrou watched Kosei leave. "Wow," she said, and crouched down to Ai's eye level. "You OK?"

Daryl padded out to meet Kosei as he left. "Thank you." Was all he said, before rushing into the building with the others.

Ai was a bit dazed as she watched Kosei rip a hole into the metal bars. When he vanished, and Sorrou asked her if she was okay, she could only sit there, trying to put all the pieces together. Finally after a long moment of awe, she jumped out from her cage, winching a little when her wounds began to sting. It felt good to be finally out of that cage. The sight of metal bars all around her was beginning to get on her nerves...

Sorrou straightened up and watched Ai jump past her. "Ouch!" she cried, getting a good look at Ai's injuries, "those don't look so good!" She began to walk over to inspect the gashes more closely.

Kosei nodded before walking towards the door. He stood there, holding it open with his hand, and peering out with his head. He was playing watch wolf. This was a city afterall....humans would be here sooner then later.
