"Why do you care?" he asked, not meaning to be offensive. To be honest, he didn't have an answer anyway..... He stopped suddenly, and looked at the sunset. It was beautiful...the colors reflected off the snow and ice covered grounds, lighting the land with multiple colors.

"Well" Anio started warily at the lowering sun. "Not to be pessimistic or anything, but you might die out here in the cold of night without shelter. That fur only gets you so far in this climate."

Kosei keapt his eyes on the sun. "what does knowing how to survive have to do with my destination?" he asked her. Then he walked over to an icy snow wall, and began to dig. His huge paws were makeing a shelter in record time! And the sun was getting increasing low in the sky....just a trickle of light remained.

Anio stopped, watching him dig a hole. It had been a while since she had to survive in the wild, but she wasn't nervous or anything. Nope. Not a bit. She began to dig a hole of her own in the thick snow. She had still not dropped her human guise. She liked it. When her hole was done she curled up inside, and started to cover herself up. "It's a dangerous world out there, especially for wolves like you." She sighed, resting her head on the snow. Her hole still had a big part left to be filled, but she left it for now."You could get yourself killed in some places."

"It's a dangerous world for any creature. The only truely safe place is Paradise" Kosei said as he walked into his tunnel. His digging actually sealed up the hole nicely, as he sat in the back of his cave. The sun was just a thin orange line now.... Kosei could smell the halfbreed even through the snowy wall between them.

"True enough...." Anio said, more to herself than the big wolf. She finished sealing the hole and lay down in the crisp snow. All around her, there was nothing but darkness and a refreshing icy chill. She closed her eyes, only hearing her own breath and the breath of the big wolf next to her. For the first time she wondered why he was all alone out here. It was a very dangerous place after all, and being alone only made it worse. She could handle it well, that was what she was trained to do, but he seemed so wolflike that she could almost see him waiting until dark to call to his wolf friends. Perhaps they were out there waiting for her to fall asleep. The fur on her scruff raised with alarm, but she quickly got ahold of herself. Right. there were wolves out there hiding in the tundra. She had probably not handled the earlier snowstorm as well as she should have. She needed rest so she could stop being so paranoid. She tucked her tail under her hind legs and let herself fall into a light slumber.

Kosei let himself drift into his restless sleep. As soon as his mind blocked out the sound of the rushing wind, the true hell began. His eyes were tightly closed as he dreamt of his family. One by one he watched his packmates be slaughtered....he raced to help them, but was shot down. As life drained from his body, he saw those disgusting creatures that shot him laughing. They disappeared in the blood, and he saw his family. They called to him....He struggled to his paws, and tried to get to them. He collapsed...and they continued to drift farther away. The creatures...the murderous creatures returned. They aimed a barrel between his eyes and.... Kosei had broken out into a cold sweat. He jerked his head up, and he slowly caught his breath. By the sounds of it, the storm had stopped.

Anio shifted in her place and fitfully got up. What was that noise? She was tense in an instant, but then realized it was only her neighbor. Did he have to make such a noise when he woke up? She sniffed angrily and put her head back down on the soft snow.
She must have been crazy to follow him in the first place. Now he was keeping her up all night with this constant shifting! Every time she breathed in his scent, it made her shrivel her nose in disgust. Wolves. Barbarians. Murderers.
She sniffled again. At least she might stand his aggravating presence long enough to learn something about paradise. That at least, would make his loud breathing and constant shifting worth it! She rolled over and attempted to fall asleep once more, only too aware of what lay on the other side of the wall of snow.
(OOC:Someone's cranky when they don't get sleep! XD)

ooc: lol. perhaps. And just a warning, saying my charrie shifted is somewhat of a powerplaying statement. If I didn't type it, it may or may not have happened. Careful what you assume. Kosei is actually a very stiff sleeper....but for the sake of the rp, I'll say he shifted a bit this night. bic: Kosei forced himself up. He was still thinking about his nightmare, but hunger brought him back to reality. He sniffed the icy snow, and bashed through the new layer of frozen water over his dugout. He shook the ice shards from his oversized body and blinked in the sunlight. The moon was pretty high....He had wasted a good amount of time sleeping....

ooc: Srry. Completely slipped my mind. Thanks for telling me and I'll make sure it doesn't happen again. bic: Anio heard her neighbor get up and was immediately alert. What was he doing up at this hour? She vaguely remembered her thoughts of his pack waiting in the shadows of the tundra and was out of her snowy hole in a flash. Oh. It was day. She knew that. She breathed in the fresh air and the smell of the ice, letting the sun warm her fur. It was then that she realized how hungry she was. She started to sniff for any scent of life, but found only her own and the wolf's scent. It was times like these when she wished she knew how to hunt better.

Kosei sneezed and once again shook out his fur. The sun glistened over the thin ice that blanketed the snow. Kosei's snow-shoe sized paws could easily get through this new snow despite his massive size....he wan't sure (nor did he care) if Anio could walk easily.

Anio took a step forward to see if she could smell anything else, and she sunk into the snow. She wasn't the largest or the tallest of dogs, but it was so high that she was up to her chest in the frozen slush. She looked with scorn over at the wolf and his ease in handling it before pulling herself out. Savage wilderness for savage animals. "Where are you going today?" She sniffed, sounding as indifferent as possible.

Kosei began his march onward. "...." He then stopped and looked the other "wolf" creature in the eye. It was as if he was looking into her very soul. "What do you want? I know you don't just want to keep me company" he said, getting straight to business. This fae MUST have wanted something from him....but what?

Anio looked at him, shivering slightly at his sheer size and the way he looked at her, but she stood firm. "No. I don't." She said carefully. "But I would like to know where it is the very type of wolf that started the rumors of paradise is going. What could possibly be more important to you than paradise after you gave all of us the hope of finding it?" Her slow and well-placed words had turned to a dare or sorts. It was their fault in the first place that her only freind had started his work. It was their fault that he had only a few happy years to his name, and it was certainly their fault that he died. She could not be mistaken. So why was it now that, after all this, this one that stated it all suddenly turned away from his own hope, his own belief, everything? It made her angry just to think about it. It also made her need to know why.

"There are some things more important then Paradise" He said, turnig his eyes to the snow. He obviously had a heavy weight on his shoulders. "Besides" He said turning to the horizon. "It is not yet my time"
